“Membership in TRA has opened my eyes to the benefits of advocacy and networking, the value of giving back and the extensive resources available to help my business succeed."

Anyone who cares about their restaurant business HAS to care about politics. Politics affects issues like the wages you pay your employees, the amount you pay for insurance, your tax rates and whether you can sell liquor in your county. We build and sustain positive public opinion and a favorable political environment.
During the 83rd Session of the Texas Legislature TRA prevailed on many issues critical to this industry. See the successes we enjoyed on our Texas Legislative Session page and learn more about the Key Issues impacting this industry.
We need your support to be successful. Consider supporting the TRA Political Action Committee (TRAPAC) which was rated one of the most influential trade association PACs in Texas. Get involved with your local officials and build relationships that will help us continue to promote the best interests of the industry. Join our Center of Influence program and work with others with common goals and objectives.
For more than 70 years, the Texas Restaurant Association has been the voice of the restaurant industry at the state Capitol. Learn more about our successes.
