Congratulations Buyer Incentive Program Winners!

The 2012 Southwest Foodservice Expo featured the Buyer Incentive Program which encouraged sales activity on the show floor to benefit exhibitors and attendees alike.

Planning is underway for the educational component of the 2013 Southwest Foodservice Expo in Dallas. We are looking for professionals with expertise in a variety of industry-related areas such as marketing, managing the P&L, inventory control, human resources, growing your business and industry trends and developments.

700+ Exhibits and 12,000+ Attendees

The 75^th Annual Southwest Foodservice Expo, the second largest foodservice trade show in the nation, celebrated its anniversary in a big way. Expo, produced by the Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) on June 24-25 in Dallas, Texas was a tremendous success with more than 700 exhibits and 12,495 attendees coming together to network, learn about the latest industry trends and see the best products and services on the market.

Iconic Texas Restaurants Share Their Stories at Expo

foodwayslogoblack2 As part of a year-long celebration of the association’s 75^th anniversary, the Texas Restaurant Association partnered with Foodways Texas on an oral history project that will preserve the great stories of iconic Texas restaurants. Elements of seven of these iconic Texas restaurants’ stories will be shared in a multi-media presentation at Expo on Sunday, June 24 from 11:30-12:30 on the Event Stage.

Perini & Pyles Show at Expo

Two chefs are better than one! Cowboy cook Tom Perini of Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap, TX and Chef Stephan Pyles of Stephan Pyles Restaurant and Samar in Dallas, TX, will team up again at this year’s Southwest Foodservice Expo.

Top Chef Winner & James Beard Winner Paul Qui at Expo!

The Southwest Foodservice Expo is excited to announce the addition of Paul Qui, Executive Chef of Uchiko in Austin, TX, Top Chef Texas Winner and 2012 James Beard Award-winner Best Chef in the Southwest, to the already illustrious roster of master chefs being presented during the Culinary Showcase.

LSM-U Marketing Program Featured at Expo

LSM-U, Local Store Marketing University, will be offered as an educational session at the Southwest Foodservice Expo Sunday, June 24 and again Monday, June 25. LSM-U, developed by Duke Marketing, LLC, is an educational program devised to enhance restaurant marketer’s ability to understand, create and implement local store marketing strategies to increase sales.

Expo Welcomes the Beat Divas!

We’ve got the beat! The 2012 Southwest Foodservice Expo, produced by the Texas Restaurant Association, just got divafied. Expo is pleased to announce The Beat Divas as the first confirmed chefs to participate in the show with a cooking demonstration titled "Tomato Envy" at the Culinary Showcase.
