Congress has adjourned for the five-week August recess. Lawmakers are expected back in Washington September 5, at which time further consideration is anticipated for the minimum wage increase and tax-cut package, as well as for the .08 blood alcohol concentration mandate that is included in the FY2001 transportation appropriations bill.
