Employee Excellence Award

The TRAEF Employee Excellence Award is presented to employees at Texas Restaurant Association member restaurants who exhibit outstanding leadership and dedication in performing their jobs on a daily basis. This award is a great opportunity for employers to honor star employees whose contributions make their business a success.

Join us Sunday, June 24 at 3pm as we present the Employee Excellence Award to these outstanding individuals. These awards will be presented at the Southwest Foodservice Expo in the Culinary Showcase in Dallas.

About the Award
By honoring individuals working in all facets of the restaurant, we bring attention to the important roll teamwork plays in a restaurant’s success. Employees are honored in three categories: back of the house, front of the house and manager. Awards are presented at the chapter and state levels.

Front of the House
Employees the customer interacts with (Host, Server, Bar Staff, Bus Staff)

Back of the House
Employees primarily in the kitchen/food prep area (Cooks, Chefs, Prep Staff)

Manager
Any employee with manager in their title (GM, Asst., Bar, Banquet, Kitchen, etc.)

Three state award winners in each category receive:

  • $1,000 cash
  • A crystal trophy
  • Two tickets to the TRA President’s Gala, including one night hotel stay and travel reimbursement up to $300
  • Two tickets to the Southwest Foodservice Expo to accept their award on the Culinary Showcase Stage, Sunday, June 24.

Chapter award winners in each category receive $150 in cash and a plaque honoring their achievement.

In addition to completing the nomination form, please include letters of recommendations from other staff members and restaurant guests. Nominees must be employed by a TRA member restaurant. Winners are announced May 30, 2012. Looking for the Educator Excellence Award?
