
Educator Excellence Award
The TRAEF Educator Excellence Award is awarded to educators who have made significant contributions to culinary education through both an unwavering dedication to their students and a strong presence in their community.

Join us at the Award Presentation Sunday, June 24 at noon on the Culinary Showcase stage at the Southwest Foodservice Expo in Dallas, Texas.
About the award
Culinary arts instructors in Texas ProStart schools who demonstrate leadership and excellence in culinary education are honored in the educator category. They must be advocates for the Texas ProStart program and be dedicated to helping their students achieve the highest levels of success in high school culinary arts.
Award winners receive:
- $1,000 cash prize
- $1,000 in groceries for their school’s culinary program
- Two tickets to the TRA President’s Gala, including one night hotel stay and travel reimbursement up to $300
- Two tickets to the Southwest Foodservice Expo to accept their award on the Culinary Showcase stage, Sunday June 24
- A crystal trophy
- Complimentary registration for the 2012 Culinary Educators Training Conference in Austin
