We are looking for baristi who can do it all!  Espresso Cocktails, (alcohol with a balance of espresso please!), Latte Art, (Free Pour, Etching or Sketching but it must taste as good as it looks!), Espresso Frappe,(Cold Blended with Coffee Essence) and the Best of Brew (Pour Over or French Press brewed coffee straight up!) await for those who have the skill and drive! The 2nd Annual Ultimate Barista Challenge Americas is coming to the Southwest Foodservice Expo on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, and June 28 – 30, 2009 at the Dallas Convention Center to find the next "Ultimate Barista Americas in Texas".
 
From the creators/coordinators of the US National Barista Championships/Competitions/Jams and over 60 National & International Barista Championships/Events comes a unique & exciting barista "challenge"!  UBC Host, WholeCup Coffee Consulting, LLC, brings Specialty Coffee to the Culinary "foodies" of the Southwest where Chef Competitions, Pastry Championships, Flare and Pizza Competitions abound!  The UBC Stage will be the focal point for the Tea & Coffee Pavilion at this show.
 
Like the Iron Chef we have professional "Ultimate Barista" that will await any Challenge from the Winners of the Qualifying Rounds who are lucky enough to make it to the Final Challenge!  Compete against the clock and your opponent!
 
Challengers can win Cash Prizes, UBC Medallions, Reg Barber Specialized Tampers, UBC Sponsor Equipment Gifts, a chance to become the next Ultimate Barista in Texas and an opportunity to represent the UBC in US Regional Events, South Korea and China!
